Have never cared for the factory wood scales on the Palmera 14 razors. The paint chips off after awhile, and repainting is just not a viable option in my opinion. Cleaned up a set of honey horn scales I had on another 14, so it fit perfectly. Now this pretty thing is properly dressed, in suitable attire. Sanded down some of small nickel silver cup washers and she is now, good to go. Better now than factory fresh! Just to share. Thanks, Austin

Looks good. That looks to be an older Palmera too. Not sure why I think that, but I have a hunch.

Shaun, I have two of the Palmera 14s and thought they were both the more recent versions, without the Palm tree logo and makers name etc. Interesting on the two I have, the fonts for the "14" are different. Not sure what that means but these are great razors nonetheless. Made from great steel and keeps a fine shaving edge. Thanks for the kind comments from all.Quote:

I have one that I got from Bill Barber and think they are from around the fifties or sixties. I’ll check the marks on it when I get home. Bill had a stack of them that he bought new.
