That one was pretty crazy, Gasman. I myself was pleased with the outcome.

Getting it all to blend in, was the biggest challenge.
Outstanding!
That outback Mike sure became a good restorer fast. :tu
Just had to wean him off those nutzyboltsies! :rofl2:
We are a lot the same as we both use simple things. Good friend to have. Rednecks.......
Here!
A lovely Henckels 17 of mine on his workbench after some Bog Oak scales and his handmade domes.
It still has his edge on it after several years now. Sweet!

We have, come a long way.
I still keep one around, just to remind me of where I was, not so long ago.

Mike is the master of keeping it simple and achieving great results. Those horn scales came out SIIIICK!
It called the KISS theory. It was explained to me in my green year's, and really stuck with me through life.
For those that have not heard of it, its an abbreviation for.
Keep
It
Simple
Stupid
In short....the more complicated you make it, the harder it is to do.
So there's lots of time put into the thought of how to do the repair, before its actually repaired. ( cause and effect, or thinking a step or two ahead ). Always cover your arse, so you don't take a spanking. Ect. Ect.
I was going to call it that(KISS) but one time I was explaining something to someone and they took offense to it. It almost caused a situation if you know what I mean. I back down from "No Man" and almost had to beat it into him. After that I am more carefull in public, with friends I use it freely. It is what I strive for in all my work. Sums it up just right in my point of view, but not for everybody I have found out. Lol!
I like to implament KISS and "measure twice cut once" in almost everything I do. Has kept me out of trouble.
The scales came out very nice Outback. You did a increadible job on them!
