MAAS can be found in most Wal-Mart supercenters on the household cleaners aisle, near Brasso.
You can also order it straight from the source a http://www.maasinc.com/
They even have some internet only specials...
As a newbie, which version of Maas do you use? They seem to have a metal polish, stainless steel polish, etc.
Also, does anybody know where to get this in Canada? I've not really looked too hard, but the few places I've gone to didn't seem to carry this brand.
Thanks - Mark
Anyone seen it this side of the Atlantic

got mine from lakeland heres a link
Jim,
I use Mothers BILLET Metal Polish. Seems to do a good job. The jar says "This product is unconditionally guaranteed to be the best polish you have ever used on billet, forged and finely cast aluminum, brass, gold and any other polishable metal!"
I guess they've never heard of Maas (whatever happened to Flitz?). Or, maybe there's just nothing esoteric about metal polish.
Of course, YMMV.
Regards
Actually, I prefer Simichrome over Maas. Available online and at most hardware stores.
Cheers,
Ed
Still no leads on Maas in Canada, eh? ;-)
Anyone? I guess I'll have to take a trip to NY state then!
Mark
Does anybody know where the sell Maas in the Netherlands? Or if MAAS can't be found there a good replacement?
'Evening to my Cand'n friends:
I found my MAAS at the local Home Hardware. Home Depot does not sell it. I read somewhere on this site, to stay away from Brasso. Good luck!
Great! Thanks a million! I never would have thought of that. I went to Cnd Tire and found some other stuff, (damn, I can't remember the name of it...started with "P" I think), but wanted the real McCoy!
Thanks again!
Mark
AARRRR I've been to three mega walmarts in town and can't find a single tube of Maas!!! AAAARGG!
I get my Mass at an Ace Hardware, down the street from where i live.
Mac
I'll try both those places next week maybe. Thanks!
I got mine at Ace too. If the Ace near you doesn't have it, ask a manager to order it for you. They should be able to ship it to the store for you without extra charge. The Ace near me didn't have Flitz polish and I asked them to get it and they had it within a week for me. It is listed on their website and anything on their website they can get in for you.
I got my Maas through eBay ( Buy it now). 4oz Cost me about $10 included Free delivery to my house in 2 days. That worked good for me! Maas did a good job on my "Otto". Blade is great on this razor shaved with it for the first time yesterday and was smooth as silk on my skin. No nicks!
Ace Hardware is the only place I've found that has it. (nix on Walmart, Menards, Home Depot, Target, etc. Everyone only sells Brasso and Tarn-X)
I'd been meaning to ask if anyone knew if Maas had gone under or something, since it was pulled from Walmart about 3 months ago...
I'm pretty lazy these days. I get lots of stuff off the net, MAAS, I got off Amazon...
I noticed that it was pulled from places like Walmart and Walgreens also. I think it is because they have a whole new packaging/layout and maybe new formula. I know the new stuff says that it has a French Lavender set and is an upright tube instead of a side tube/toothpaste tube. The packaging is different but it looks similar.
I picked up a couple tubes of the old stuff just in case.
They won't order it at Ace for me unless I planned on buying their minimum order count: 12. WTF.
I finally found a box of the new stuff, last one, at Walgreens. Is there much difference between the new and old stuff?
Maas Multi-surface. I found it at Ace Hardware. It does do a great job.
It's the same except the newer ones have a French Lavender Scent and a different new packaging. Go figure. Maybe they'll bring us a Sandalwood version. :)
MMMMM, metal and rust and sandlewood... any chance we can get a leatherneck version in the works?
Im holding out for the bayrum!
That's BS. On Ace Hardware homepage they say something about free shipping to the store, maybe you could go to the website, order it through there and have them ship for free to your local Ace.
You found it elsewhere, though, so I would just give the other place your business. The Ace near my house had no problem ordering a single tube of Flitz for me.
