I noticed just before the server crashed that someone had posted a wapi that they had modified the point on to a spanish point(?), I thought it looked pretty darn good.
Can you please repost and
I'm wondering how this is done without making a mess?

This is a Double Arrow, not a Wapi. Modifying the point of a Wapi would be slightly more work, because of its stiffer grind. Anyway, it's possible. Who said I did it without making a mess? ;)
First of all, as a dental tech I grind all kinds of metal, steel and precious metals, since more than 35 years. So, I have a general idea of what I'm doing. Therefore modifying a point of a razor doesn't take me more than 5 minutes. Now, if a newbie tries the same thing with his Dremel, that's a completely different story. I will not describe how I did it, but how I'd recommend you do it.Whatever you do, you do it at your own risk! Don't blame me if you injure yourself! Good luck!
- Use safety googles! Always!
- Mark on your blade the desired shape with a permanent marker.
- Put your blade between two small boards of soft wood, like cedar or pine, have the point stick out so you can see your marker line, not more.
- Hold the blade in place with woodworker clamps, forming a "sandwich": wood-blade-wood.
- Now mount an abrasive grinding wheel onto a mandrel for your Dremel. I use "heatless" wheels by Mizzy. There are probably other sufficient grinding wheels on the market.
- Cool the metal frequently with water while you grind it. You don't want to change its temper!
- Polish with rubber wheels (Dremel).
