Looks great! I make my own thread stock. It's a ton cheaper!
I'd love to know how you are threading your brass although now that I have 100 1/2" and 100 3/4" in transit I won't need more for a while unless I try some peening.

Yeah Robert, I also started getting just 3/4". It's safer to have them for when you need them. And I've needed them a lot recently!
I did 3 coats with a 1500 wet sand and then a 2000 grit wet sand.
The wood looks almost holographic. The figure, the grain and the pores appear to sit at different depths and the scale themselve have are nice and round. I am pleased.
I'm thinking I will let this cure for the requisite 10 hours and give a wax job tomorrow.
I'll have to look in the wood pile and see what's next... The zebra wood looks tempting.
