This was in a group I bought, all were sharp, but this one has major rust. Is it worth messing with? It's nice and hefty, 13/16, nothing written on it(or no longer?)

It takes time, but it is cheap, and it can bring a blade from crap to mint.

I've fix'd worse, but I'm not into high polish ether so YMMV...
That one aint so bad. Its not so much rust being a problem its more corrosion and deep pitting. Rust is bad when the edge is badly involved.
the rust spots near the edge are worrisome, and you really can't tell about up top until you get the scaled rust off to assess pitting. it's the difference between some sanding and a regrind.
the edge rust, if it's pitted, means you'll have a heck of a time coming up with a non-serrated razor.
Well I sent it to Kenrup and it came back all better..and a good shaver.

I don't think I mentioned the new horn scales he put on it. I have discovered that nice horn scales look much better in person than pictures can tell. There's a depth to them that just doesn't show in pics.
I gave it a test shave today and can report a serious 9 or 9+ shaving machine!:D
