sixgun, do you shape your scales. by that i mean are outside of the scales rounded/convex like typical bakelike kind or are they more flat such as the wood comes in a sheet/board?

Wild, wild babies! Both the scales and the blades look pretty wild! :D
You know, that's funny you ask, I have new wood stock on the way, and I have been thinking of how to add depth, to wood scales, without adding to much wieght.... The razor still has to feel balanced when you use it, so just making thicker scales is not the answer... So taking the scales and rounding them from say a 1/4 thick piece of stock I think would set off the balance depending on the wood....
I do have a 4X4X24 Ash Billet That I have sitting around for making fore end tips on some of my rifle stocks.... I might cut some of that down, and work with it, and see if I can get some depth to the scales, without adding to much wieght.....
I have some ideas that have been brewing for a few months maybe it is time to work them out....
Thanks for your question it got me thinking more on this:)
And thanks for all the kind compliments from everybody :D
As always, Glen, superb work - I especially like the rich look of the wood you chose. Great job!
