I have just made these scales to use on a 9/8 WB Barbers Use Hg I am going to do a EELL mirror finish,and plan to use these scales.I was wondering if you guys think I should put a German silver shepherds cross in them (as in the last photo)Please let me know what you thinkwould look best.I will put the cross in both scales.thanks and best regards Gary

the cross are very cool, but I'm not sure i would be as cool if you don't have a "solid" background for it, as you have in the last pic, maybe the scales in question should be allowed to live on without the cross, I like the "flames" on them!

I am unknowing... "EL" and "EELL" what do they mean, i know they refer to the level of brightness to to finish of the blade, and how does one achieve them?
Gary, your work is outstanding but, besides time and experience, how can the rest of us start getting such nice finishes?

I think I read something on one of the posts(think it was Philadelphia) whosaid he didnt like the ultra mirror finish much as it shows every defect,and scratch,I have to agree with him,I prefer a more mat,or even a satin finish most times,but the mirrior finishes seem to be more in demand

Thanks Fred,maybe I can get the boss in the shop in FT Lauderdale to send me the real spec,but he usually just ignores the shit out of me as I only own the place ( maby i should changed the designations to 1)polished a little bit and 2)Polished a whole F*****g lot Regards Gary
Those are really nice polish jobs. I can see no pulling of the makers stamps anywhere, Now that is hard to do!

BTW Gary, what size are the pivot screws on your razors? The head looks bigger than an 'O' size. Just curious.
Fred they are 00-80 although i use up to #2 on some other ones where the guys want socket or torx heads
