Dremel with a cutoff wheel. Just file away until the head is gone.
I just used a flat file. It took a minute or so.
It's really easy to remove a pin when you don't care what happens to the scales!
I use a sanding drum in the Dremel, grind off the top and use a punch and finishing hammer to tap the pin out. Or I just grab one and break it in half and cut the old pin out of the blade with snips.
And what if you do care about the scales??
Use a flat file and some caution, and file of the top of the pin, if you are nervous about ruining the scales you could cover the scales in electrical tape to prevent them from getting scratched by the file. Then use a punch(?)and a small hammer, and punch the pin through the scales, if the pin is crocked you'll have to be careful so you don't use to much force.
Hope this makes sense.
