Does anyone have a link/resource for buffing grit kits? I have a nice knife grinder/buffer but want some grit pastes to supplement hand sanding. I would like to have some pastes I can put on buffing wheels in the 800 and up grits.

I am looking for info on this as well.
I should have started out with the statement of "you suck Dave!" :D I spend one afternoon in your garage buffing out blades and pinning, and now I have four buffing wheels, four pastes and an arbor to fit on the lathe.
While polishing I thought, "hey with a few more wheels and some heavier grit, I wouldn't need to sand by hand". I think I am going to try some automotive stuff out like a heavy duty rubbing compound.
I declare here and now, that if I don't finish my wifes kitchen cabinets in the next month, it is all Daves' fault. :roflmao
Actually though, I know of some sources for some grittier material and will post when I find it.

All sorts of goodness at McMaster Carr!
Look under lapping pastes and polishes.
Go on to Timezone.com and look in their toolshop and they have a set of french polishing compounds that will put a mirror polish on any metal or plastic for that matter too.
Thanks for the links guys. That gives me a good starting run.
