I own an old Hawcroft & Pearson. It's my favorite razor. (My first antique store treasure. My first ivory. My first good shave. Etc.)
The pictured scale is good. The reverse side has one crack and one break. The break is across the pivot pin, but the scale does not move. And the razor shaves fine.
I'd like to repair the handle, and keep the aesthetics of the original ivory.
Any ideas that might compliment the steel? (I was thinking some kind of silver metal frame with the ivory glued on the outside.)
PS: I don't care about hiding the cracks. In fact, I think they add character to the razor. I just want to secure the scales. That's all.
Thanks,
Christopher
