Razor Storage case
While cleaning out an old closet, I found a miniature Lane cedar chest that a local furniture store gave to graduating seniors back in high school. I hadn't used it in years, but I noticed that it would be perfect for storing/showing my razors.
I also happened to have a nice piece of cedar laying around. Unfortunately, it was in log form:

Well, I decided to see if I could mill my own lumber... with a miter saw that couldn't quite get all the way through the log. After a little redneck engineering and a few hours of head scratching, I was able to get some decent pieces of wood. I wish I would have taken some in-between shots, but the batteries in the camera were dead. Here's the end result:

The cedar matches the chest so well, it looks like it was built together. I still need to line the cutouts with velvet or felt and maybe add some padding to keep the razors from moving around. But it's just going to sit on my nightstand, so I may not go too crazy. But overall, I'm very happy with my little project!

Thanks! I'm really happy with it so far.
