Razor Repair
My girlfriend's sister's teenage son got hold of one of my razors and cut up anything he could get his hands on. I tried to repair the blade but i fear it is the beyond the scope of my abilities at this time. :( The blade has noticeable dents/pieces missing. Where can I send my razor to get it fixed? I will try to take some pictures and put them up. I tried to get it out with a 220 grit norton but it didn't work
Thanks

Moved to the Workshop
I moved it here to the Workshop where most of the restorers and "Honemiester" hang out....
Somebody that is not swamped with work should respond!!!!!!

It has been a long time since you originally posted about this, huh? In my opinion, these small nicks can easily be honed. I have honed worse nicks with a 220 grit stone. If you find the repairs beyond your ability, why don't you send it to an expert honemeister? There a a number of them listed in the classified section under member services. I would not worry about these nicks and would not call your razor names... ;-)
Al raz.

No biggy a honemeister can wack that out in minutes. Worth the $15 to repair. So figure a $27 investment $26 to ship repair and return and $1 for the bullet. JUST KIDDING!!!!:nono::D

You're lucky there. I was expecting to see far worse damage! Completely fixable, but he deserves a hiding for his own good!

My advice would be to use the razor on the kid before you send it away to be fixed. I think he would benefit greatly from a good thrashing.
