I don't think you should use a Dremmel for sanding. Heating and cooling the blade will ruin the edge and the steel temper. It will change the steel irreparably and the blade will not feel smooth.

I think the pictures make the pitting look a lot worse than it actually is. On Saturday I plan on spending most of the day hand sanding the blade. I will post pictures when I'm finished.
To me even tiny pitting is a nightmare to take out because I can't just sand it off. I have to sand the whole razor away around the pitting
Alright guys, it took me a couple hours but I got all of the pitting off the blade by hand sanding with 320 grit sandpaper. However, Lowes, Home Depot, and the craft stores in my area do not carry any sandpaper with a grit higher than 320. So I'm left with a highly scratched balde. Do you guys know any good places online that sell higher grit sandpaper?
Do you have a NAPA, AutoZone, or Pep Boys store close by? They will have all the grits you need from 400 up to 2k.
good luck!

Finally got it finished. I was able to get the pitting out and the blade shines nicely. I'm happy with the results. Maybe this weekend I will have time to make some scales for her. Here are some pics...
