    Default CA Questions

I tried using the search, but discovered that CA is too broad, time and sanding are in everyones post

How long do most people leave between applications of CA? How many coats do I need to do (I think more than 5 less than 10)? Do I sand betwen each coat, or only every 2 - 3 coats?

    Thanks for the advice.

CA can be funny stuff, depending on the humidity you can get blooming... or not...

As a rule I treat it the same as any high quality varnish.

So... Sanding between coats depends on a few things.
    1. was the last coat laid down nice and smooth and blemish free?
If the coat was a good one with no bloom or blemish I'll probably give it a good 40 mins before the next coat and not bother sanding

    2. How far am I frtom the desired thickness of coating?
If I'm getting close to the desired thickness then I might give it a light sand to remove any irregularities and make sure that the CA is an even thickness all over.

    3. what level of finish do I want? (satin or full gloss?)
If you're going for full gloss finish then I'd suggest a light sand between each coat.
