    Default rivets and washers

    Hi

I am in UK and useless with sizes etc engineering wise

Can anyone tell me if a 1/16th x 1/4 brass rivet is the right size to look at for scale pins and what might the 2 sizes of washers be in BA terms please

Not sure that I can be of much help, but 1/16th inch is the diameter of brass rod you want. I don't know what the 1/4 refers to, though! 1/16th" expressed as a decimal is 0.0625 inches. BA10 is 0.0669" and BA11 is 0.0591" outside diameter, but as the BA measurements referred to small thread sizes I don't know if they are compatible. You can get the brass rod from some knife makers sites, especially ones in the US.

I'd get the 1/16th inch brass rod and couple it with the FWB0 Flat Brass Washers from microfasteners (they ship pretty reasonably to the UK).

    Regards,
    Neil
