    Default Wood hardness scales

    I was thinking about what woods would be good for making scales and thinking that hardness is a factor in the durability of said scales. So I looked up wood hardness scale and found this:

    Lignum vitae forever!!! Any wood that can be used for ocean going ships' propeller shaft bearings has got to be good wood. Huzzah, huzzah!!

    Particularly if you think greasy bilious brown is a marvelously attractive medium for your razors' handles.
