That's what it says, that is not what it does....

Ren wax is undoubtably great stuff I use it on every restore but it is not as great as that ad says.... You still need a true sealer if you want it waterproof...

BTW Ren Wax goes on last, once it's on there pretty much nothing else will stick LOL

It is 'moisture resistant' not a sealer against moisture. If three of four coats are applied it is great stuff used in conjunction with hardwood scales, which take on moisture very slowly. For other woods it acts great against spillages, but not for immersion, so is probably OK for those who are a bit careful. It protects metal too - a lot of outdoor bronze sculptures in the UK are coated in it. And it's wet over here...
