Recent Rescale 6/8 Square Reynolds English Walnut Burl
Here is the neatest looking scales I have done. THe blade is ok looking but I believe was reground at some point because it has some vertica; grooves that I wasnt able to full remove by sanding. So, I know the blade is no top notch per se. I finished the blade with a brass brush and polished it with Turtlewax premium and used brass pins and wedge. The finish is 5 coats of Tung oil by Minwax which I thoguht worked out nice. Its not professional, but I thought I would put it up for folks to see. A special thanks is due to the guys at Burlsource on Ebay. They are great to work with and provide some nice wood to work with. I also want to thank Outlawskinnyd for his recommending the 10' Craftsman badnsaw I bought and used to cut the scales. Thanks for all the advice guys!
