Wanted: broken scales.
I recently converted a George Wostenholm razor with a cracked blade into a Coochie razor. I have no use for it so I put it up for sale. It sold almost instantly. There seems to be a demand for this sort of razor. So I have decided to make another one. I have a Bengall blade with a crack that is just waiting for me to do something with it. But I don't have any scales. I was thinking if anyone had any scales that were broken at the pivot pin perhaps I could make use of them instead of them being thrown out.
Here is a picture of what I did with my George Wostenholm.

Have you thought about making your own scales for it out of wood or acrylic if I can do it trust me you can its not that hard and looking at the work you did to the other razor you should make a very good job of them to.

Thought about it. The main problem I have is that I don't know where to find supplies locally. Because I live in Bangkok I have to ask my wife to help me sourse stuff and she isn't much help finding stuff unless it is cosmetics. But maybe if I use bone, there are a lot of butchers around here.

I have some orange acrylic ones that are broken at the hinge.

Sounds perfect. If you could pm me and let me know what postage would cost, that would be fantastic.
Cheers.

I've got a pair of black plastic scales that broke off about half a cm beyond the pivot pin. If it's of any use to you and you're willing to pay for shipping you can have em.
