why not face your wood with steel or aluminum so you get a completely flat surface? say some 10ga on there, even 12 or 14 would probably work, I'd just be surprised if 10 wouldn't stay perfectly flat.

i sure would like to see the razor and scales after they come together.
Ignatz, this is amazing. Sometime I'll give this a try... thanks to your EXCELLENT demonstration!
Wow very cool!!! Thanks so much for your effort and time. I was one of those that was curious as to how micarta was made.
This is simply outstanding! Excellent work!:)
now you need to try a molding style
line a small box with plastic
cut all the fabric up in to little bits and mash them with the epoxy into the box (need a custom cut "lid")
then you can make "burl" mycarta also
you an try twisting the layers also just like dammy
or put corn or BBs on both press plates to get raindrop style
lots of cool stuff can be done
Simple explanation and great work Thank you very much.
awesome stuff... now I have to get my epoxy back out
Thank you for posting, going to try and make a set.
This is excellent info. Thanks!
