Save this John Barber?

I picked up this John Barber at an antique festival the other day. The grind on it is pretty bad, looks like someone messed with it. I don't believe it was originally ground this way? In the pictures you can see where I made some passes on a 1000 grit hone and the flats are pretty far down the blade. It's a little less than 6/8ths and a very thick wedge. I guess my question is, should I have this reground and if so who offers this service? I didn't pay very much for it so if it's not worth restoring, no big loss.

If you look in the classifieds under member services,there's a guy called Philadelph who does regrinds.Might be worth a P.M. to him as John Barbers are well sought after and this guy does excellent work.

+1 on the regrind. I found a W&B over the weekend that looked that loved except it had been so honed that it had less than 1/4 between the edge and the barber's notch. The blade said full hollow, but there was so much hone wear that it was a wedge.
