First REPIN...HELP!!

Ok REPIN...is that even the correct term? Anyway so I am new at putting new scales on a blade. Never tried it before. I do however have all the parts/pieces necessary at this time to finally try this. I have a number of old ebay specials where the scales were not usable so I removed them only to find that almost all the pivot holes, on about 5 or 6 different razors were all different sizes. This even on the blades that were approximately the same size. I also have those Dovo replacement pins that are supposedly used by Dovo on their razor's scales. Anyway so I am looking at the pins (which just happens to look like a tiny nail) and I then look at all the different pivot holes on my "scale-less" razors. I notice that not only are all the pivot holes of different sizes, almost all of them are bigger (in diameter) than the pin. Is this normal? Is the pivot hole always a little larger (in diameter) than the pin to allow for some minute amount of "play"? Or do I need to fill in the pivot hole with an epoxy mix until the pin fits snugly in the pivot hole?

I'm new to repinning myself but found this to be useful for one of my razors. I already had epoxy in the house so that's why I went that route.

I've used that epoxy before for other applications. I might go that route only because it's easier to obtain that epoxy than that tube sleeving.
