I made a thread when I started this restore, but it seems to have been lost to time. So, I'll put up a recap here. I bought a D. Peres blade on the bay, sans scales. It was black and crusty.

Found a crack near the heel while sanding, modified the shape a bit.

Sanded and polished it up.

And finally, this past week, I was able to sit down and scale 'er up.

Walnut scales, brass pins, steel washers, and a clear polycarbonate wedge made from an eyeglass lens. I'll post some shots of the finished product from different angles later. Shaved with it twice now. I generally prefer a heavier blade, but this little rascal is a nice easy shaver!
