I have this really nice Filarmoica 8/8 that shaves like a mutha. It's sandwiched in these skinny little wimpy ass scales that just about make me want to sell the razor. But theyz original. Howdya suppose the straight razor gods would look down upon me if I fixed some bitchin' Billy Ahrnwood deals on this beast?
To me, the blade and scales are two different things. I say fix that mutha up!

Sweet blade, but I agree--those scales gotta go. Desert Ironwood would balance that bad boy well. Make sure you post some pics when Bill is finished, it will probably generate some more interest in his 'how to' clinic.
I think the scales which would work best are a one of a kind set made by Bill and sold by Ray at Classicshaving. Desert Ironwood. The regular sized Ironwood scales might be a bit too small for that Filarmonica. My six-and-a-half-eighths W&B fits in pretty tight. I woldn't want the blade to be any bigger than it is for those scales.

I know what you mean Nenad, but they look much better in the picture than they do live. I was torn about this, but I think that blade deserves a better home.Quote:
