My first run at it. They turned out OK in my opinion. I certainly learned some things. The material is Flame Birch with a Tung Oil finish. Sorry for rotten pics.

This is VERY nice for a first! :dropjaw:
I have power tools, but I decided that doing it by hand for the first run would be better from a learning standpoint. I used my drill press for the pin holes, but did the rest with coping saw and some sandpaper.
I think you did a great job. I like the shape of them and how they compliment the razor. Very cool! You should pat yourself on the back.
I have a Ladwig's Special that I have to clean up and hone. How does that Ladwig shave?

Way to go Brother !!!!
Nicely done
Erick,
we all went through the first and I think you did great. You also kept the scales proportionate to the blade. Very clean.
Good job.
Those are some very fine looking scales. I like the shape of the scales and figure of the wood. The proportions look good to me.

Nice work. Welcome to the club. Cool thing is, every set you make seems to get better than the last too.

Great start! The first one's are a challenge & you certainly learn an awful lot. I found my first set the hardest & the next far easier.

I really like the wood you used, gonna have to find me some of that.
