Perfection!!!!
So I had this Mappin & Webb that is one of my favorite shavers. So what do you do with a great razor that you wanna make a little better??? Right, send it to Max.
So Max polishes up the blade and puts these magnificent African Blackwood scales on it, works his magic and what do we end up with??? Perfection!!!
What a bootiful Razor!!!!
Thanks Max!!!

As always Max comes through. Nice classic lines, on a great looking razor.
Love the upper and lower jimps!!! You should be proud of that one Lynn

Oh, that's gorgeous! Congratulations Lynn and well done, Max. What's the finish on the scales?

Beautiful! Have you shaved with it yet?

That is a beauty. Understated class! I've got a couple here that i keep meaning to get on their way to the man. How high can we expect the price of Mappin & Webb's to soar now? :D

Beautiful work as usual Max! :tu :tu Congrats to Lynn on having a bootiful razor that gives killer shaves! CarrieM talked me into a Mappin that needed serious restoration and I am, as usual, very glad she did. I will be thinking of this one every time I use mine. Now I may take it for a spin this weekend! :)

I'm glad it made ik back safe to Medina.
I was contemplating removing the etching, reground it to a French point, 5/8. Remove the tang's inscription and stamp a Wapi logo but decided not to.
Enjoy Bubbala!
As to the finish I used the 100% pure tung oil burnishing technique.

really nice work! I have to say if the restoration folks on this site were compared to Jedi. Max would be Yoda, his work seems flawless.
