PUMA GOLD - Help

Hi Guys. I picked up this Puma yesterday for $14.50 USD at the local antique shop and thought, "I gotta have that!" The the only problem I can find, apart from a little rust, is the scales and both end pins. As you can see from the photo showing the back-side scale, a crack at the middle pin was repaired using, I believe, brass and was finised not too badly. Depsite it's functionality, it still looks like crap and the blade is a little loose on the pivot pin.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have on how to proceed with the restoration of the scales.
On the blade I am using Autosol and, believe it or not, q-tips.

I'd send a PM to one of our great restorers and have them make a new set of scales.They can re-create the same look as your present ones and even lift off the puma inlay and affix it to the new ones.At the same time,they can restore your blade and hone it to shave-readiness.

I know that Glen has very recently moved an inlay across. With a straight like this, experienced hands could keep the etching and give a lovely finish.

Yes the inlay can be lifted and moved to new scales as Bruno has pointed out...

The "bridge" repair was quite ingenious too I like it,,,, I have done almost the same using Fiberglass netting and epoxy in the past....
