What do Ya'll do with ruined blades?

Say you've knocked a large enough chunk off a blade that it would have to be a 3/8 or smaller by the time you "fixed" it.

Or the blade has pits that go all the way through (daylight!!).

Here's a ceramic blade that my wife insisted on buying a set of. I told her they were brittle but she wanted them anyway. Well the first time she used the large one she broke the blade off the handle. Now she won't touch the other two. I kept the blade and using a set of cocobolo knife scales saved it.

Have I broken some unwritten rules in salvaging blades that were unsalvagable (at least by me)?

looking good, however I wonder what do you use those razors with knife handles for?

The three top ones I've used for carving leather. The one with ebony I just made and might make a belt sheath just to carry for a while.

Really don't have a set use for any of them - just can't bear to see blades thrown away.

I've always wanted to see a pocket knife made with a real razor but lack the talent. I could see it being made using a kit that had a Walker linerlock but as I said my vision outreaches my abilities.

Sink some forks and spoons into the same cocobolo for a matching flatware set. Definitely doable and would look really nice on the Thanksgiving table.

Hmmmmmm, I could see that as a camping set. On the Thanksgiving table everybody would want one.
