Yeah that's what I was thinking. I haven't gotten the process of a good inlay down yet.

Inlay can be learned by practicing on knife handles that have liners to form a scale on top of.

Me too. That's why I love the thought of mammoth ivory. Looks similar enough to my eyes, but that mammoth died waaaay long ago and I'm sure it didn't die just so people could use its tusks.
