Refinishing stamps
I've got a couple nice razors(or soon to be nice), one a 7/8 WB celebrated India steel barbers use Wedge, and another a dubl duck wonderedge. They have some pitting that I should be able to remove and leave the stamp there, bit wanted to see of anyones ever done anything to deepen the lettering after cleaning up the blade. Something like a dremel with a fine engraving bit or something. I don't think I'll do it with these as I don't want to risk ruining them but just wondering for future razors.

I wouldn't recommend a dremel at all on the stamps with an engraving bit, maybe a wire wheel...I just don't use a dremel on the cleanup of a stamp. I've taken 1/4 sheet of 1K and put it on a flat board & sanded the flat area of the tang and then worked on the stamp with toothpicks & q-tips. I've come to love the tumbler method, but I'm a reloader though.

Thanks, but I meant to make the letters deeper once they've started to wear out with cleaning. I use a nylon brush to clean them by the way. That's why u asked about the dremel.
