I read somewhere that when you restore some razors, especially hollow grinds with a lot of pitting and spine flattening that you end up with a shiny razor that has pitting and a flattened spine..........:D

While I have been playing with the buffers lately I do have a bunch of razors that have their patina intact and I prefer it that way. Do be aware that hollow ground razors are limited in the amount of metal that can be removed from the blade. I suggest starting practicing restoriation on a razor that has less value to you than other so you can see what can be done and what work may be involved.
