P.S. If you wanna bid on it, don't let my interest stop you. For now I'm just curious about it and I already have a nice piece of Sheffield steel coming in. I am just trying to develop some understanding.
It looks like a very nice razor. It's clean enough to not require too much work to clean up. Spike 6/8s are nice and W&B has a good reputation. Wait until very near the end of the bidding end to bid.

I'm glad we can discuss this stuff in Serbian. It will make it easier for me to teach some of my buddies and my little bro. In any case everyone's been so helpful. This place rocks.
The only thing I am not seeing his the price for shipping. Send him an email and if the shipping is reasonable ( $4 to $6USD ) then everything else looks good. A great deal would be $10 or less, an average deal would be under $20 USD.

I don't see any way you're going to snag that for under $10. Since it's in such EXCELLENT condition there will be more interest, but I'd say it's at least worth the $20 price tag, maybe more like $30-$40. Just MHO and you gotta make up your own mind on that.

X, I guess it all depends on how frugal you are. I would not argue that one might pay $30-$40 for this razor. A great brand and in great shape it will go for more than average. Getting back to my frugal standards, I would not pay more than $20 for it. Here again I am not trying to say that it is not worth $40, only that it is more than I am willing too pay for this given razor. I bought a Goldedge in this condition for $35 last January on ebay. Even the seller said it should have gone for more. This kind of sets my own personal standard and until Mr. Firestart buys some gems and a few duds then he will have a better perception on the price of each razor for him. Everyone here has their opinion and that’s what makes this place work so well.Quote:

20 would be as high as I'd wanna pay for it. Time will tell. I'm praying that Islamabad-Solingens will generate more interest among the general public. Who'd want to buy an old and used piece of ****? :D (other than me and a few other freaks, highly concentrated around SRP ofcourse)
Okay, I'm learning here. Is the toe worn down just a bit? Not that honing wouldn't fix it, just curious as to others opinions.

Looks like it, but it's still pretty clean. I've seen A LOT worse over there. However it won't take much work to get that one shave-ready. The price went up to $7.50 and there's 2 more days left.
Looks to me like that's not a tip having been worn away :nono: so much as a well honed razor having produced a comfortable smile :) shape. This can be a challenge to hone for some but in my experience makes for a terrifically comfortable and safe shave.

Which just proves that:
1) I have tons to learn.
2) It's fortunate that X lives about 25min away from my place. In case i successfuly snipe it, his guidance will be instrumental in overcoming the challenge.
Hopefully, I'll be able to do the same for some rookie in the future.
It should be noted here that I am merely a SELF-DESCRIBED Know-It-All :o and not a master, by anyones measure, but I'll be happy to help where I can.

This W&B Bow razor is a really nice one you willl probably have to pay $20 or $30 for. Good luck good razor.:cool:
I'm hoping to catch a steal, but I'm still on a budget. If I had a decent job and no student loan, I might be more willing to spend. However, just paying for my car insurance is enough of a hassle for me lol.

Well... I had that razor on my watch list because I regard them so well. You will not go wrong with that razor.
My being a very cheap type of person I can say that I will not bid that much even though its in very good shape. It's easily worth $30-$40 but there are many more of them out there somewhere. The fact is there are so many really good razors
available in so many different places that I enjoy the hunt more than anything.
