Gentlemen,
I spent an hour after work today bringing the Wade & Butcher back to life. I know I have some more work ahead of me on this, but an hour, some MAAS, and a toothbrush did wonders already. Please take a look. If you can think of any helpful advice, kindly share it.

Really nice job, Ben. I'd probably leave it alone now. You can moisturize the horn scales with some neatsfoot oil or mineral oil. If you have access to a buffer with a loose muslin buff and some white compound, you can shine those scales like a new penny. Sharpen it up and shave with it!

Thank you, Joe. I really enjoyed cleaning the razor. It was relaxing and rewarding. The blade is quite sharp, but not shave-ready. Unfortunately, I lack the tools to properly prep the razor for a shave. I will go ahead and treat the horn with some mineral oil though. I'd imagine that's okay for the blade as well.
Next up is the Geneva Cutlery razor. It's a thousand times cleaner, so it should be a piece of cake to spruce up.
Also, I've been using these Web-based forums for several years now. They're all so similar in terms of functionality that posting pictures and using fancy code is second nature by now.
That looks exactly how it's done, by hand at least. Now you either need a Norton or a Honemeister.

Nice job Ben you did a good job, now you are hooked like the rest of us. You can buy something now that isn't pristine and work it over and you will still have a nice razor.
