They're looking good. I see you're having the same problems I have while hand sanding that it's very difficult to get into the section of the blade where it meets the tang at the heel. Are you going to leave them as I sometimes do since it doesn't really affect the shave or do you plan to continue? Let me know if you find a solution.
I am pretty new to all this....but I did invest in a lot of new power tools to help solely on straight razor work. I am expecting them in this weekend. So hopefully my bench grinder will help get these to that next level. That area is tough to clean

Oh yeah definitely, it seems the guys with polishing wheels don't tend to have any trouble with those spots. I was more lookin for hand sanding techniques you may discover.

Get one of these pink rubber erasers and wrap your wet/dry sandpaper around the pointy end - then sand away.Quote:

I've personally tried the eraser and the sanding pads and each seems to work well for me.
