Using fret saw for custom scales?

Would it be a good idea to use fret saw for making custom scales? Thanks.

i use it to cut the wedge to size but its not much else i find it usefull for

coping saw is perfectly suitable to cut scales with.

Thanks which blades should I be looking for coping saw?

under 20 tpi

Any particular brand and place selling it?
