Dude, I have a NOS Wonderedge and you could change your blade with mine and I couldn't tell. fantastic restoration. Actually from your picture the spike edge on mine is a tad more of a spike while yours looks a little rounded I don't know if thats just the photo's or wear to the blade or you rounded it off.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was hoping I did a good job on the blade too. I could not tell since it is the only one that I have.
I can only assume that the spike must have been rounded off by one of the previous owners. There is little hone wear on the rest of the blade so I don't think it was due to honing.
Now I can put it up for action with a clear conscience as a restored razor with the blade in excellent or pristene condition and scales in good condition.
Thanks.

Vlad, you are a true craftsman in every sense of the word. Congratulations on another magnificent piece.

Great article!
I really like Vlad's comments about re-shaping/restoring warped scales in boiling water and repairing celluloid with CA...
I've noticed that on a couple of eBay specials that I've gotten in...
Does anyone have a cure for shrinking scales?
A million years ago I worked in several prototype and machine shops where I worked with different plastics and thermo-forming plastic was one of the techniques used.... so everything Vlad said made total sense...
There really should be a permanent archive for Vlad's postings... "The Best of Vlad", or "The Book of Vlad"!
I'm trying to figure out a way to reformat his stuff into a PDF file so it can be printed!
