No I just shaved off the blue hair so that the cut was visible. :)

Just hours after reading this thread, I opened a razor to strop it, dropped it, then with the reflexes of a ninja caught it, by the sharp bit...
You will also notice the band aid on my ring finger, that was from a hand sanding adventure this morning. I rarely cut myself with razors but 2 in 1 day??? I decided not to shave tonight, I'm likely to cut my throat
Yep. Looks familiar :)
Maybe it would be nice if we could make a sticky with warning pictures. I know there are several here already. I'll see if I can find them. :hmmm:
Bruno,
I did something similar to my thumb years ago with a handsaw, sharp handsaw it was too, while starting a cut and years before that with a hunting knife while hacking away some branches. Upon reflection of the dumb or unfortunate things we do to our various parts, we have to marvel and wonder at our good fortune that we still have those parts.
:beer2:
Like Baldy, I cut myself soon after reading this thread. I had finished with light sanding and was polishing with Maas. Guess the razor was sharper than I thought, because it cut through the fabric and into my finger.
ahh yes, the "sting"... never hurts (forgive me :D) to get these reminders for safety.
You guys call those cuts? "YOU AINT SEEN NUTHIN' YET" I got this baby after honing my sheffield on a Naniwa. When I hone a razor even the stone is afraid of the edge I get. I swear I can almost see my Naniwa's tremble while I hone.
How on earth did you do that while honing? Do you hone with the stone in your hands? If so... don't :).
And forget about your fingers... you actually soiled a porous hone
