restoring a razor
I've been wanting to restore a razor that I picked up awhile back, and the scales aren't exactly the greatest. Making the scales really doesn't look all that hard to do, but I can't figure out what to use for the pins. I've googled em, even gone to sites to try n find some, and come up with nothing. The pin itself would be simple to make, it's the collar to keep it in place that I can't seem to find, nor anything close to somthing that would look nice. Any suggestions as to what to use, or where to find some would really be helpfull. thank you.

Most of us use the microfastners #0 or #0wide washers. There's also tutorials around for making the domed washers if you want to spruce it up a bit.

My local hobby shop has brass rod, and 1/16" ID brass washers. Those would be a start.
Nickel silver is way nicer.

+1
I go Microfasteners 0 wide on the inside pivot, and 0 regular on the outside for pinning/fastening.
