Could aluminium work for lock washers or is it just too soft and nonsense to use such washers? :confused:I made some myself, domed and rather thick.

Aluminum is a reactive metal, so you have to be careful using it around steel and water...
Whether it reacts is to be determined, by how and what you touch to it :(

Soap/lye will eat it up quickly and as above, electrolytic action will too. Easy self destructive battery when combined with some acids or bases. Some scales were made of aluminum and few have survived.

Thanks for the replies!:beer1: I guess I'll need to get some brass or steel washers then. These things are tough to get around here in such small sizes.:(
