Looks like you might need the Shirpas to get to the top of that one. Go get 'er and best of luck.

the scales are too thick so it wont fit in its box ,so I will have to re do them
also there is still faint marks at the tip of the blade as the pitting there was deeper than expected I dont know if i should keep going with the emery
The wood is orange osage the wedge is Vlad`s and the pins are 1/16" brass and the collars and washers are all in one made from 3/32" stainless pop rivets
thanks for the encouragement guys
Kind regards Peter:)
Will take better pics when the scales are re done
Good grief, that was quick! Looking good too - I'm looking forward to more photos.
Malcolm
for better or worse hear it is stere is still marks on the blade from the rust, however I dont dare go any more as the blade is a full hollow and is now super thin
The scales are orange osage and the wedge is now buffalo
Kind regards Peter:eek:
I think better's the more appropriate word there - good job. It looks like the wood's got a lovely pearlescence to it but it's never easy to tell in photos. Have you had it out for a test run yet?Quote:
