Hi all,
I read in a post below that some folks like to use hex bolts and nuts instead of rod/washers and peening.
Anyone have a favorite seller for these items? I'd really like to try that first, if possible.
Thanks for any and all info, mates!!!

theres a guy in Flordia, thesuperiorshave.com
I get mine from microfasteners.com
We have a lot of links and resources just above you in the stickies from the workshop.
The adjustable screws and nuts are available at Microfasteners. A few other places sell them too but I have to give a thumbs up for microfasteners. Fast, affordable shipping and very reasonable pricing.
I picked mine up from Vintage Razors online for $3.00. They offer two sizes and are quick with their shipping.
Hi!
Classic Pins Is it bad?
I buy set in Germany( Home ). Excellent pins. Enough for a long time.
Sincerely,
Alexander
Another point worth bearing in mind is that you could buy a tap for threading holes to match. If your blade requires a brass or steel bush in the tang, you could thread that, and use screws to draw both scales tight up against it. Or in a hard scale material such as bone or micarta you could thread the scales away from the screw-head, tighten it up that way, and add a nut which needn't be as tight as it would have to be if it was the only fastening. I think even screw-heads and nuts which you have reduced to round could work, if you tighten up the screw by the over-length shank, held with a piece of copper sheet in pliers or a vice.
