Micro mesh question
OK for all the restore meisters out there.
I seem to find info about different types of micro mesh for different applications. I.E. wood, metal etc.
First off what type do you use.
how do you use it? Power tool or by hand?
Thanks all
Oh and best places to purchase?
-
I usually go through the whole range. Best place to buy would be someone selling them on the Britishblades.com forum. Considerably cheaper than most places you can buy the whole range for 25 british pounds.
-
Do you use the MX for metal or does the other type work for everything?
-
Woodcraft carries it, and, if you are on their mailing list, there is a $10 off $25 or more.

for scales use the one for wood, soak it and wet sand. Works on horn, acrylic, micarta, wood obviously. G10 etc.
I have never used the metal one, but it would be useful for hand sanding blades.

I use it for everything, both scales and blades.
I do 120, 250, 400, 600 and 1200 sandpaper, then 1800, 3600, 6000 and 12000 micromesh.
Works a treat on both blades and scales! :)
