It's my first refurb so take it easy on me
Its a taylor witness one of the celulose scales was broken and the blade was almost black in colour no chips or cracks though
£6 on ebay.
I took it apart retained the thin washers and the bevelled washer on the pins.
Took an old hammer with a hickory handle and donated it to the cause.
A whole load of hand sanding and shaping later going from 240 to 600 finally 1200 grit i ended up with what you see.
Then the blade 1200 grit wet and dry followed by hours with a 0.5 micron diamond paste re pinned with nickel/brass brazing rod.
Ive finished the scales with lord shapton bees wax and linseed oil wood polish.
And now the BIG question, what do you think ? Image taken with my phone so sorry if it rubbish.
