'Came across a handsome worked back Torrey that needs some love. 'MOP shank cover, french point. The pins on the shank cover appear smaller than the 1/16" pins for a pivot. They are white as opposed to brass. Anyone know what to use for re-pinning those after cleanup? Are you still using small ball peen hammer? I use a stainless tablespoon for other pins.

They are done with 3/64 Silver Jeweler's wire... Check a jewelry supply site for it...
It is also softer then the 1/16 Nickel Silver rod we use for pins.. You are going to need a pin set for it, you have to sand it flush then set the pin with a percussion bulge then polish it smooth again...
Sounds fun huh???? This is way more to the Jeweler's side of the craft then razor restoration...
Even more fun than putting them together, is trying to get them apart in one piece :)
Glen's right, you're far better off gluing them, that is if you do decided to remove them.
