DMT Dia Sharp - Dia-Flat Lapping Plate 10" x 4 1/4". Too course??
I purchased one of these massive 10" x 4" lapping plates.
Is this safe to use on my fine 1.2k 6k 10k and 12k stones or my shapton glass stones???? It feels more suitable for your 1k grit stones and below. This thing is extremely course, on the web page it said it is 120 microns. It feel about 120 grit.
So now after receiving it I'm worried it's too course!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone has experience with one of these beasts can you let me know your opinions!
Thank!!!

DMT’s DMT Dia-Flat Lapping Plate is simply amazing. At 4-1/4" wide by 10" long and 4lbs., it is the most impressive lapping plate we’ve seen. Its 40 square inches of surface are covered with over 30 carats of diamond grit. The precision sized monocrystalline diamond grit is bonded to the steel plate using DMT’s unique Hardcoat Technology – giving a uniform scratch pattern and unprecedented durability. Each Dia-Flat is hand certified to flatness of ±0.0005" across its surface.
The Dia-Flat can flatten just about any sharpening stone in your shop. It can flatten oil stones, Arkansas stones, water stones – even ceramic stones. At 4-1/4" wide by 10" long, it’s large enough to handle almost any stone in your shop.
