2 Sheffield honing questions.
The first question is that i have a Fredrick Reynolds smiling blade that has a small chip about 1 mm in depth by the heel, it's tiny but since the blade is smiling is there a special motion i should do while trying to hone the chip out? should i do a swoosh motion or circles on my norton 1k? the second is that i have another odd sheffield that has a ridge ground on one side and the other side is a near wedge.. how should i go about honing this one? just put a layer of tape on the spine? thanks! (first pic is the FR and the other is the odd grind)
