Can't stay...bye bye, now...
Rant on Bill...I find it enlightning. No matter what you turn out I'll keep on going. I can only get better and your work is inspiring.
I rummaged through a box of my first scales..yuk...and at the time I thought they weren't too bad.
Now I have to get better a blade restoration.

Personally speaking I look at everyone elses projects and admire the work, purely because I want so much to be able to acheive the same or similar results..the apparent ease that people like Bill, Vlad, Joe, Gary and the many other fine gents here,(too many to name) put out these wonderful restoration razors only seems to feed my desire to do well at this, my first set of scales i posted pictures of recieved some very nice compliments which boosted my confidence and self esteem with regards to my ability, as I have a tendancy to be a little ham-fisted now and again.
All you guys who have posted restoration projects, i admire your work and aspire to acheive the quality you have , and maybe one day I will have the 'nuts ' to start from scratch...
Thanks a million all of you who post the works you do...:bow
regards,simon:tu
Nice job as usual Bill. I am hoping to snag one of your razors depending what is available around the Christmas season. I am craving a 6/8 or larger W&B with a barber's notch. I will have one eventually. Oh yes I will have one.
Can't stay...bye bye, now...
Crikey Bill,
I guess it would be easier to give you my paypal ID and password and you can just help yourself...:D
The trade deficit of NZ gets worse everytime I see your offerings.

Bill I loved your so-called rant. It was an impressive one post documentary. Wow. Your work is inspiring. I look at what you and other guys here do with blades and scales and then I see some "ugly" razor on Ebay and think "I wish I could take that razor and restore it". I have your CD, now all I need is time.

(Shows I'm on the right track :) )
