Just getting started
Attachment 83088Attachment 83087Attachment 83086Attachment 83085Attachment 83084Attachment 83083I've had this razor for over 30 years and would like to restore it. I know I can make it look nice but thats all I know. I don't have any idea of the maker but it was used by a family member when I was a child and I'd like to use it as well.
I'm new to SRP (joined today) and I'm open to any thoughts on this razor.

Welcome to SRP Steve. I'd head over to the wiki and do some reading. There's more information available here than anyone could put it one reply. Sorry I don't have a clue about your razor besides the things you already know. You can also do a google search up in the top right corner for things like restoring. But the wiki should have it all. Everything from videos of simple restores, to all out take it apart and put it back together restores. Welcome again, and have a great time.

Don't know the make or history but from the looks of the rust on the edge , you may need to lose the current bevel width to turn it into a shaver. That pit in the centre of the bevel will most likely chip & the tarnished section towards the toe will crumble away too. That's my guess from the pics but maybe if you can forward it on to someone for assessment you'll get a more accurate picture. Try below link :
