haha I thought so, are those big plier in the middle medical too? I used to do the same thing when I was a paramedic(years and a different career ago) I've used some for a lot of non medical tasks. Its funny to see I'm not the only person, using medical supplies for restoration work. lol.
The stuff they throw out is mind boggeling, have boxes full of very finely made surg instruments, needle holders that cost hundreds per.Bone chisels (osteotomes) lenthes of med grade TI rod used in spine surg,Orig cost is about $50/inch,amazing amt of waste.
Well I'm not feeling so bad now. Pixelfixed's razor drawer kinds looks like my whole apartment. And similar to Ray, I "found" a 6/8 W&B in my abrasive stick tray last week, after checking every "probable and sensible" location. But, I did separate my washers in somewhat similar fashion. What I did was to put two wides and two standard washers on every bolt. That way it's sort of like a "go bag"...only for mockups. I don't have to dig through assorted compartments. I just grab a set and go. Since the wedge end doesn't need four, I have spares for when I drop one. Now all I have to do is find that little wooden cylinder I put them all in...Maybe it's in the fridge?
Nice, I went a little different route though. I hate putting the few washers on the razors as I pin them up, my fingers say they are to small to work with and I have to say I agree with them. So I would not have had the patients to stack them all up like that once much less all the times my stupid fingers decided to pull off more then I needed.
But like you I think they need their own place organization is good, so I picked these up from widget supply they stack together and where cheap.

I just keep my washers in the little zip lock bags they came in from microfasteners.
That being said, I like the ideas shown here. I also have a draw that looks like pixelfixed's. :)
